About Tokugawa Garden

Amid the Edo Period 1600-1868, Nagoya filled in as the seat of the Owari, one of the three noteworthy branches of the decision Tokugawa family.

The family amassed extraordinary riches that was just outperformed by four of the 200 primitive spaces of the Edo Period.

The Tokugawa Art Museum was based on the grounds of the Owari's previous primitive habitation and jelly and shows a few of their fortunes including samurai reinforcement and swords, tea utensils, noh veils and outfits, ballads, parchments and maps.

Next to the gallery is Tokugawa-en, an excellent Japanese scene plant with an extensive lake at its middle.

The garden used to be a piece of a retirement home of the neighborhood rulers, yet was pulverized amid the war.

In 2001 the garden was reestablished and revived to general society in 2004.

A huge system of strolling trails lead around the grounds to a tea house, rest houses, and over a few extensions.

The garden is best in spring, when its Peony and Iris gardens sprout, and amid the pre-winter season .
