About Todai-ji Temple

Todai-ji Temple was devastated by flame twice, and modified each time. The first run through was in the year 1180 and the second in 1567. The two times the Great Buddha Hall was singed in revolts, and everybody from blue-bloods to normal people contributed, setting aside the opportunity to reconstruct it nearly precisely the same.
When going to Nara, the primary spot you should visit is the Birushana Buddha, the biggest plated copper Buddhist statue in Japan. This is for the most part known as the "Incomparable Buddha of Nara". The Great Buddha is situated in the Great Buddha Hall at Todai-ji Temple in the northern region of Nara Park. There are different lobbies in Todai-ji Temple, making this a focal area for touring. The Great Buddha is 15 meters tall. When you first experience the Great Buddha, he appears to be considerably greater than you can envision from this number, with a shockingly overpowering nearness.
