About Takaoka
Takaoka is a past manor town in Toyama Prefecture under 20 minutes by means of train from Toyama City. Takaoka is the second greatest city in Toyama Prefecture after Toyama City. Takaoka's prosperity dates from 1609 when Toshinaga Maeda 1562-1614, the second ace of the Maeda clan, manufactured a château here, anyway it was torn down in 1615 going before it was even finished under the "one space, one estate" guideline of the Tokugawa schedule.
Takaoka most significant interest is Zuiryuji Temple, which was built up in 1645 by Maeda Toshitsune, the third leader of the Kaga region, to appeal to God for the remainder of his kin, Maeda Toshinaga, the second ace. Maeda Toshinaga was hitched to a young lady of Oda Nobunaga and was later a supporter of Ieyasu Tokugawa, the victor of the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600, and creator of the Tokugawa custom. Guests enter Zuiryuji's grounds through the wonderful Somon Gate. There are seven entryways outright in the haven coordinated symmetrically and related by wooden, roofed sections. The spaces between the structures are lawned.
