About Takamatsuzuka Tomb
The Takamatsuzuka Tomb or "Tall Pine Tree Ancient Burial Mound" in Japanese is an old roundabout tomb in Asuka town, Nara Prefecture, Japan. Takamatsuzuka Tomb, situated in the Asuka area of Nara Prefecture, resembles adjacent Ishibutai, an internment hill kofun dating from the Asuka Period of Japanese history. It is thought to have been built between the finish of the seventh century and the start of the eighth century.
It was found by a nearby agriculturist unintentionally in the 1960's as he was burrowing an opening to store ginger roots. The tomb was uncovered in the 1970's and the divider artistic creations found inside were assigned as National Treasures.
The tomb was then fixed to save the artworks and the adjacent Takamatsuzuka Mural Hall worked to show propagations of the frescoes in a full-scale copy of the grave alongside different internment products.
