About Sanjusangen-do

Sanjusangendo is commended for its 1001 statues of Kannon, the goddess of thoughtfulness. The haven was built up in 1164 and recreated a century later after the main structure had been destroyed in a fire. Evaluating 120 meters, the haven campaign is Japan's longest wooden structure.
The name Sanjusangendo really "33 breaks" gets from the amount of intervals between the building's assistance sections, a standard technique for evaluating the measure of a building. In the point of convergence of the essential anteroom sits a broad, wooden statue of a 1000-furnished Kannon Senju Kannon that is flanked on each side by 500 statues of human estimated 1000-prepared Kannon staying in ten lines. Together they make for a sublime sight.
