Sakura Furusato Square

Sakura's association with Holland dates from the Edo Period, and was said to be 'west of Nagasaki and East of Sakura'.The Sakura Furusato Square was established for people to interact with nature in Inbanuma Pond and as a gesture of international goodwill

It was built up for individuals to interface with nature in Inbanuma Lake and as a signal of worldwide altruism and the history of social trade has proceeded with the foundation the Sakura Japan-Netherlands Society.

The civil association praised it's 40th commemoration in 1994 when a windmill De Liefde was set up as an image of fraternity with Holland.
