About Saku
Saku is a town placed in Nagano Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 October 2016, the town had an predicted population of 99,056, and a populace density of 234 people in line with km². Its total region is 423.51 rectangular kilometres. Saku is positioned in former Shinano Province, and by using the Sengoku length it became home to the Ochiai clan, a Samurai family that sided with Uesugi Kenshin all through his warfare with Takeda Shingen within the 1550s. Under the leadership of Ochiai Bitchu no kami, the Ochiai clan consequently fought for the Uesugi for the duration of the Siege of Katsurayama in March 1557; all Ochiai participants who took part in the conflict have been killed in fight or committed suicide.
During the Edo period the region of Saku developed as the citadel city of Tatsuoka Domain under the Tokugawa shogunate.
