About Oura Church
Oura Church is a Catholic church in Nagasaki. Worked towards the finish of the Edo Period in 1864 by a French preacher for the developing group of outside traders in the city, it is viewed as the most established standing Christian church in Japan. Oura Church is committed to the memory of the 26 Christians who were executed in the city in 1597.
Today, the working church remains as an appealing case of contemporary European engineering, drawing numerous guests. The congregation was the primary Western-style working in Japan to be assigned as a national fortune. It is believed to be the most visited church in the region.
