Nishinomiya is a city situated in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, between the urban areas of Amagasaki and Ashiya. On April 1, 2005, the city of Nishinomiya praised its 80th commemoration. It is best known as the home of Koshien Stadium, where the Hanshin Tigers baseball crew plays home amusements and where Japan's yearly secondary school baseball title is held. It is likewise the area of Kwansei Gakuin University, a private college established by American preachers in the 19th century.
