About Mediterranean Harbor
Mediterranean Harbor is a themed land in Tokyo DisneySea, the second park in the Tokyo Disney Resort, positioned in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan, near Tokyo, which opened in 2001. Mediterranean Harbor is the entrance port-of-name,or hub, themed as an Italian port town, complete with Venetian gondolas that visitors can board and trip. The majority of places of interest in the course of the port are various stores and restaurants.
Mediterranean Harbor's format differs from the access "lands" of different Disney parks as it is a huge V shape in preference to a main street that results in a hub as determined in Disneyland's Main Street, U.S.A. Or Disney's Hollywood Studios' Hollywood Boulevard. If accompanied to the proper, the route results in Mysterious Island, at the same time as if followed to the left, the route leads to the American Waterfront. Built into the structure on this port is the Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta. The motel itself serves as a complete-scale replica of the diverse buildings of Portofino and Venice's ports.
The design desire of mixing a real motel in the themed park areas helps to further the illusion that as either a park or motel visitor you're in an actual metropolis; for the reason that motel is a useful building as opposed to a 'set facade' -- the general general in subject park designs the effect of onlooking resort visitors, that could take a look at the park from resort's rooms, balconies.
