About Maruyama Park
Maruyama Park is an open stop beside Yasaka Shrine in the Higashiyama District. In the main portion of April, when the cherry trees are in full sprout, the recreation center turns into Kyoto's most prominent and most swarmed spot for cherry bloom seeing gatherings hanami.
The centerpiece of the recreation center is a tall shidarezakura sobbing cherry tree, which gets lit up in the night. Maruyama Park can be come to by transport from Kyoto Station in around 20 minutes. Take number 100 or 206 and get off at Gion transport stop. The recreation center is simply behind Yasaka Shrine.
