About Kyusukodo
It was worked amid the later phases of the Edo Period 1603-1867 as an instruction office for the posterity of samurai from the previous Iga, Yamato and Yamashiro areas parts of present-day Mie, Nara and Kyoto prefectures. The school was established in 1821 however the first building was crushed amid a major seismic tremor in 1854.
The present building was reproduced in the 1860s, and it filled in as an open library for most of the twentieth century. Today, the previous school is kept up as a national recorded site which guests can enter and investigate. The extensive school compound contains an immense tatami tangle address lobby, a kitchen, a quarters and two or three patio nurseries. Sukodo offers a pleasant portrayal of Edo Period engineering and inside outline with its wooden establishment, rich screens and tiled rooftop.
