About Kyoninji
The Kyonin Ji, situated in Kamogawa, Chiba Prefecture, became founded on five March 1281 and is one of the maximum important historic temples of Nichiren-Shu. On 11 November 1264, following an invitation by Kudo Yoshitaka Lord of Amatsu, Nichiren came under attack by means of Nembutsu adherents whilst on his way to the Lord’s house. Kyoninbo Nichigyo and Kudo Yoshitaka who rushed to his useful resource have been killed within the event while two different of Nichiren's partners had been injured.
Legend has it that Nichiren's prayer beads included him from extreme injuries. In remembrance of those occasions Nichiryu, son of the killed Kuro Yoshitaka and a disciple of Nichiren, based the temple in 1281. Next, to buildings like the Soshido founder's hall and the Hondo great corridor, an 800-year-antique cedar tree seems because of the temple's predominant landmarks. According to legend, the goddess Kishimojin appeared to Nichiren in the vintage cedar tree.
