About Kurashiki
Kurashiki is the second biggest city in Okayama prefecture. Kurashiki's eastern segment is a colossal agglomeration of substantial industry based on landfill in the Seto Inland Sea, while the Bikan zone, with its calm, willow-lined waterway, is a wonderful notice of how things used to be. Kurashiki is the home of Japan's first historical center for Western workmanship, the Ohara Museum of Art. Set up in 1930 by Magosaburo Ohara, it contains works of art by El Greco, Monet, Matisse, Gauguin, and Renoir.
