About Korankei

Korankei is a valley close Nagoya presumed to be outstanding amongst other spots for fall hues in the Chubu Region.

Molding the valley is the 254 meters tall Mount Iimori, on which Kojakuji Temple stands.

In the seventeenth century, the head cleric of Kojakuji planted some maple trees along the sanctuary approach, provoking numerous local people to do likewise in the region.

Today, guests to Korankei can see the products of these past endeavors, as an incredible pre-winter view that crest around mid to late November each year.

A beautiful valley known for its brilliant maples and stoop lilies, Korankei offers an unwinding stroll in the midst of nature along the Tomoi River.

A well-known excursion spot for local people he has lines of around 4,000 maple trees, which, combined with a photogenic vermillion scaffold, transform this place into a staggering sight in the fall.
