About Kizugawa
Kizugawa is a metropolis placed in southern Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. It is the southernmost metropolis in the prefecture and it is known as after the Kizu River, a tributary of the Yodo River, which runs thru the city. Kizugawa City is a part of the Kansai Science City assignment and houses research facilities of numerous corporations, such as Rohto Pharmaceutical and Omron. Kizugawa City is one of the few municipalities in Japan with a growing population.
In a population estimate released via the Japan Policy Council, Kizugawa City is the most effective municipality in Kyoto Prefecture expected to have a effective population growth fee through 2040. The current city was installed on March 12, 2007, from the merger of the cities of Kamo, Kizu and Yamashiro all from Soraku District. In the Nara duration, Emperor Shomu moved the capital from Heijo-kyo to Kuni-kyo, which changed into located on Kizugawa City's ground. Kuni-kyo served because the capital for five years from 740 to 744. Its ruins can be located in Kamo place. Now, Kizugawa City is part of the countrywide Kansai Science City assignment.
