About Katori
It is a city situated in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Katori Shrine is in the city of Katori, similar to the old trader town and trench of Sawara. Katori was raised to town status on May 5, 1897. On March 15, 1951, the city of Sawara was shaped by the merger of Katori, Sawara, Omigawa and Higashi-Daito. Sawara developed February 11, 1955 by adding the neighboring towns of Niijima, Okura, Mizuho and Tsunomiya. In this city, there are many famous places for visit.
On March 27, 2006, the cutting edge city of Katori was made when Sawara was converged with the towns of Kurimoto, Omigawa and Yamada .
