About Kakamigahara
Kakamigahara is a metropolis placed in southern Gifu Prefecture. As of 1 January 2019, the metropolis had an expected population of 148,225, and a population density of 1700 humans consistent with km2, in 59,736 households. The total area of the town changed into 87.81 square kilometres. Situated inside the northern part of the Nobi Plain, what is now Kakamigahara at the beginning thrived as a post station on the Nakasendo highway connecting Edo with Kyoto, being called Unuma-juku at the time.
In greater recent history, the metropolis developed thanks to the JASDF Gifu base. In addition, Kakamigahara grew as an industrial town and a commuter suburb of Gifu City and Nagoya. The city of Kakamigahara has many big parks, the most outstanding amongst them being "Kakamigahara Koen”, which changed into in the beginning crafted from a vacant lot owned with the aid of Gifu University. A town planning policy of making Kakamigahara right into a "park town" has been undertaken with the aid of the municipality, and in 2005, the city received the "Green City Prize" from the Prime Minister.
