About Iwate
Iwate is a prefecture within the Tohoku location of Japan. Located on the principle island of Honshu, it consists of the island's easternmost point. The capital is Morioka.Iwate has the lowest populace density of any prefecture out of doors Hokkaido. Famous points of interest include the Buddhist temples of Hiraizumi, consisting of Chuson-ji and Motsu-ji with their treasures, Fujiwara no Sato, a film lot and subject matter park in Esashi Ward, Oshu City, Tenshochi, a park in Kitakami City recognized for its massive, antique cherry timber and Morioka Castle in Morioka City.
Iwate was created in 1876, inside the aftermath of the Boshin Civil War, which heralded the start of the Meiji Restoration.
