About Itsukushima

It is an island in the western piece of the Inland Sea of Japan, situated in the northwest of Hiroshima Bay. It is prominently known as Miyajima , which in Japanese means the Shrine Island.Miyajima is a little island not as much as a hour outside the city of Hiroshima.

It is most acclaimed for its monster torii door, which at high tide appears to glide on the water.

The sight is positioned as one of Japan's three best views. While authoritatively named Itsukushima, the island is all the more regularly alluded to as Miyajima, Japanese for "place of worship island".

This is on account of the island is so firmly identified with its key place of worship, Itsukushima Shrine, in the general population's brain. Like the torii entryway, the hallowed place's primary structures are worked over water.
