About Hogon-ji Temple

The Hogon-ji Temple is situated on the sacrosanct Chikubu Island in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. It is a piece of a sanctuary complex on the respected island. It is a Buddhist sanctuary devoted to the goddess Benzaiten. Likewise, it is said to have first been worked in 724 CE under the request of Emperor Shomu.
