About Hikawa Shrine
Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine is a well known place of worship in Saitama City, a 20-30 minute stroll from Omiya Station. As its name recommends "Musashi Ichinomiya" actually signifies "top sanctum of Musashi", this hallowed place used to be the head Shinto altar of previous Musashi Province, which secured display day Greater Tokyo, including huge parts of Saitama Prefecture. The sanctum is set in lavish greenery and has numerous assistant structures on its grounds.
A long approach from the south prompts the hallowed place's regions, where a tall vermillion torii door and a few optional altars are found. Continuing north takes guests to an extension over a lake. Here, the two-storied Romon Gate denotes the passageway to the primary place of worship grounds, where the fundamental corridor honden, the asking lobby haiden and a move organize lady stand.
