About Hidaka
Hidaka is a city located in Hidaka Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. Hidaka also has a ski slope referred to as the Hidaka Skijo, which has four chairlifts and an onsen referred to as Kogenso. On March 1, 2006, the city of Monbetsu became merged into Hidaka. Hidaka additionally has a ski slope called the Hidaka Skijo, which has 4 chairlifts and an onsen referred to as Kogenso. There is also a Shonen Shizen no Ie Boys' Nature House. Hidaka Town is divided into wards, which coincide with the previous towns of Hidaka and Monbetsu.
The town of Biratori lies between the 2 wards setting apart them. Hidaka Ward Hidaka-ku lies within the Hidaka Mountains at a go road main to Sapporo, Furano, Obihiro, and Biratori. These crossroads cause Hidaka and Nissho passes. Monbetsu Ward Monbetsu-ku lies on the coast of the Pacific Ocean at the opening of the Saru River. A train line used to run as much as Hidaka alongside the Saru River. The educate carried lumber from the logging camps right down to the coast. The educate line is not used.
