About Fujii-dera
This is a Buddhist Temple in Fujiidera, Osaka, Japan. The sanctuary is related with Shingon Buddhism and has as its principle picture a figure of the Thousand-outfitted Kannon. It is the fifth sanctuary on the Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage. The sanctuary was established on the request of Emperor Shimu in 725 and blessed by the priest Gyeki.
It turned out to be a piece of an arrangement of common sanctuaries established by the state with the reason for giving petitions and different administrations to the assurance of the country and the Imperial House. The sanctuary was advanced by the supreme family as the centuries progressed. Remodels are known by Prince Abo in 806 and by Ariwara no Narihira.
