About Eihoji
Eiho-ji is a Rinzai Zen Buddhist temple placed in northern area of the metropolis of Tajimi, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. Founded within the Kamakura duration, of the systems of the temple are precise National Treasures of Japan and its gardens are a nationally-specific Place of Scenic Beauty. Eiho-ji become installed in 1313 by means of the Nanzen-ji branch of Rinzai Zen Buddhism. On September 10, 2003, one of the essential dwelling quarters become destroyed by a fireplace.
After a fundraising marketing campaign run by means of the residents of Tajimi, the recuperation became finished on August 29, 2007. The temple grounds are domestic to some of zazen trainees, and the temple holds normal zazen periods open to the majority. In addition to 2 homes listed as National Treasures of Japan, the grounds consist of a pond, bridge and waterfall, and a conventional Zen lawn. In the Shinto religion, it was used to represent purity, and became used round shrines, temples, and palaces.
