About Daigo-ji

Daigoji is a critical sanctuary of the Shingon organization of Japanese Buddhism and an assigned world legacy site. The substantial sanctuary complex stands southeast of focal Kyoto and incorporates a whole mountainside. The primary sanctuary grounds are situated at the base of the mountain and are associated by means of a climbing trail to a few more sanctuary structures around the summit.

A short walk promotes into the sanctuary grounds gets you to the Shimo Daigo Lower Daigo region where the majority of the sanctuary's other imperative structures stand. Among them is the Kondo Hall or fundamental corridor, which was initially worked in 926. The momentum building was moved to Daigoji in 1599 and stores the sanctuary's primary protest of love, a situated statue of the Yakushi Buddha.
