Childrens Peace Monument

The Children's Peace Monument is situated in the Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan and it is also called the "Tower of a Thousand Cranes", for a large number of collapsed paper cranes are offered there all as the year progressed.It is one of the best Monument in the city of Hiroshima Prefecture.

Sadako Sasaki was presented with the shelling at age two, contracted leukemia ten years after the fact and kicked the bucket. Stunned by her passing, her colleagues put out a national call to "construct a landmark to grieve every one of the youngsters who kicked the bucket from the nuclear bombing.

On the highest point of the three-legged platform stands the bronze figure of a young lady holding up a gold-shaded "collapsed" crane. The inception of the landmark can be followed back more than four decades.
