About Ashiya
Ashiya is a town in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, among the cities of Nishinomiya and Kobe. The city turned into founded on November 10, 1940. Ashiya become set up in 1871 as a township in Hyogo Prefecture. In the early 1900s, it became detailed as an urban making plans place. This caused the constructing of large unmarried-own family houses with tennis courts, swimming swimming pools, and tea homes, and so on. Along the hills overlooking Osaka Bay. In 1945, the City of Ashiya prohibited the operation of pachinko parlors, gambling and amusement facilities in addition to small factories.
Those laws still stand and there is no other municipal government with similar policies in Japan. In 1991, Ashiya citizens elected Harue Kitamura Kitamura Harue, born July eleven, 1928 because the first lady to preserve the workplace of mayor of a town in Japan. Kitamura became mayor while Ashiya suffered principal damage at some stage in the Kobe earthquake on January 17, 1995. A house designed through Frank Lloyd Wright sits on a hill overlooking Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station and Osaka Bay.
