About Asaka
Asaka is a city placed in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. As of one February 2016, the town had an estimated populace of 135,495, and a population density of 7440 people per km². Its general area is 18.34 square kilometres. The location of current Asaka evolved as a chain of four post stations at the Koshigoe Kaido dual carriageway from the Muromachi length onwards. The village of Hizaori became created inside Niikura District, Saitama with the establishment of the municipalities system on April 1, 1889.
Niikura District turned into abolished in 1894 and have become a part of Kitaadachi District. It was raised to town popularity on May 1, 1921, and renamed Asaka after Prince Asaka who became an honorary chairman of the Tokyo Golf Club, which relocated to the vicinity at that point. On April 1, 1955, Asaka annexed the neighboring village of Uchimasa. At the 1964 Summer Olympics in neighboring Tokyo, the metropolis hosted the using part of the modern-day pentathlon occasion at Asaka Nezu Park.
