About Aquamarine Fukushima
Aquamarine formally Marine Science Museum, Fukushima Prefecture is an aquarium placed in Iwaki, Fukushima, Japan. The aquarium opened on 15 July 2000. The nickname Aquamarine Fukushima modified into decided on in 1998 from a whole of 4,722 programs. The 2011 Tuhoku earthquake and tsunami on 11 March 2011 led to power being reduce off to the aquarium. Many fish died, however some marine mammals and sea birds were ultimately transferred to Kamogawa Sea World, 100 kilometers to the south, Ueno Zoo in Tokyo, Tokyo Sea Life Park, Mito Sea Paradise, and New Enoshima Aquarium.
Although the primary constructing sustained best minor damage, outdoor pools were washed away, and there has been important harm to the electric tool causing the death of about 90% of the animals within the aquarium. The facility became closed after the tsunami, and reopened to the general public on 15 July 2011, following recovery. The aquarium highlights the ocean lifestyles within the Shiome Sea, wherein rivers flow into the sea and meet the collision of the Kuroshio and Oyashio ocean currents.
