About Ako
Ako is a town placed in southwestern Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. The metropolis become officially founded on September 1, 1951. The town faces the Inland Sea and salt manufacturing changed into its primary industry all through the feudal period. Other industries are fishery, and tourism thanks to a famous act of vengeance through the 40-7 ronin in 1703, featured in the Chūshingura. During the Edo period, Ako turned into a capital of Ako han.
Ako was a small han of 50,000 koku but wealthy thanks to salt manufacturing. Ako salt is well-known for its high great. Among the previous daimyo of Ako was Asano Naganori, the master of the 40-7 ronin.
