About Villa Ferretti-Angeli
It is a Venetian villa in Dolo, located in the hamlet of Sambruson , along the Riviera del Brenta.
The villa was commissioned by the Venetian branch of the noble Ferretti of Vicenza at the end of the sixteenth century; the project is by the Vicentine Renaissance architect Vincenzo Scamozzi.
After being of the Rigoni and Angeli families, in the nineteenth century the villa passed to the Mocenigo family, some exponents of whom are buried in the private chapel.
It suffered a certain decline in the early twentieth century due to the war, but in the second half of the twentieth century it was restored by Montedison and, currently owned by the Province of Venice, it was the seat of a high school until the 1990s.
Now it houses the Provincial Directorate of EnAIP Veneto, a professional training body.
