Valle Averto

Valle Averto is a wetland in the Venice Lagoon. It is considered an oasis and its surface is about 500 hectares.It is divided between 5 owners: the property known as A.M.A., acronym of Azienda Marina Averto srl, and dedicated to the certified BIO aquaculture in extensive regime, covers approx. 60% of the entire surface with over 290 hectares; within the Valle Averto compendium there are 4 other owners including Azienda Agriturismo Averto, the heirs count Ancillotto, Capuzzo and WWFF which has the remaining approximately 82 hectares, as well as a lagoon compendium that falls within the territory of Campagna LupiaIt is mainly a fishing valley: its landscape is made up of alluvial soils of silt and clay with reeds, hygrophilous groves, meadows, canals and hedges. Small ponds of water form in the valleys.
