About Torre Guinigi
The Torre Guinigi is the most important tower of Lucca, Tuscany, central Italy. It is a typical example of local Romanesque-Gothic architecture. This pinnacle is one of only a handful few staying inside the city dividers. Its primary trademark is its garden in the sky on the top of the pinnacle. The pinnacle has been given to the nearby government by the descendents of the Guinigi family. The old trees are holm oaks symbolizing resurrection and reestablishment.
The pinnacle dates from the 1300s when ious well off families were building chime towers inside the dividers of Lucca as materialistic trifles. The kitchen was initially on the floor underneath with the housetop filling in as a kitchen cultivate.
