About The Roman Amphitheatre
The Roman amphitheater of Syracuse is a standout amongst other safeguarded structures in the city of Syracuse, Sicily, from the early Imperial time frame.
The amphitheater is situated in the antiquated suburb of Neapolis, in what is currently an archeological stop, close to the Greek theater and the Altar of Hieron.
The amphitheater is generally uncovered out of the living rock and in the north east it exploits the incline of the same rough outcrop which the Greek performance center is incorporated with.
Nothing of the superstructure, which was worked from stone work, survives.
The structure has fantastic measurements; estimating around 140 meters long and 119 meters in width. There were two passages and a muddled arrangement of steps which drove from the upper levels to the outside.
