Nave

Nave is a metropolis and comune within the province of Brescia, in Lombardy, Italy. Neighbouring communes are, from the south and clockwise: Brescia, Bovezzo, Concesio, Lumezzane, Caino, Serle and Botticino. It is located within the Garza valley. The starting place of the call Nave isn't always sure. Some preserve it comes from nava that means the valley basin in which Nave sits, others think it's miles a contraction from Latin nam vallis, wide valley. Another possibility is it comes from Latin navis that means ship due to the general shape of the metropolis while visible from the Maddalena mountain.

Originally Nave consisted in a sequence of loosely related urban sections: Nave proper, Campanile, Cortine, Dernago, Mitria, Monteclana , Muratello which sooner or later linked together following urbanization. This is reflected through the fact that Nave does no longer have a primary square, which may be very uncommon for an Italian city. Nave is likewise referred to as the Iron valley due to the numerous iron and steel factories that characterized the area.
