About Nature Reserve Pineta Dannunziana
The Nature Reserve Pineta Dannunziana informally referred to as D'Avalos Park is a 53-hectare nature reserve located in Pescara, Abruzzo, Italy. It became established in 2000. In 1528, Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, granted the complete area corresponding to the existing city of Pescara to Costanza d'Avalos, Duchess of Francavilla. In 1700, the extension of the woodland become resized due to the developing urbanization of the metropolis. In 2001, the Abruzzo location set up a nature reserve, defensive the pine forest and overlaying an area of 53 hectares.
