About Monte Solaro

It is a mountain on the island of Capri in Campania, Italy.

With a height of 589 m, its pinnacle is the most astounding purpose of Capri.

It contains the "Fortino di Bruto", a brick house which was utilized as a part of fights amongst Britain and France in the mid nineteenth century. It is described by its "sheer dolomitic inclines" which shape an "incredible parcel" between the eastern and western sides of the island.

Marina Grande lies at the foot of the mountain. It wound up plainly well known with painters because of its "sentimental circumstance, managing broad and wonderful perspectives to the NW of the Tyrrhenian ocean, the inlet of Naples".

Up the mount there is a statue of Emperor Augustus who initially arrived on Capri.
