About Marecchia
The Marecchia is a river in eastern Italy. In ancient times it was known as the Ariminus which was from the Greek Ariminos, Αρiulνοc which is also the ancient name of Rimini. The wellspring of the waterway is close Monte dei Frati which is east of Pieve Santo Stefano and southwest of Badia Tedalda in the area of Arezzo in Tuscany. It streams upper east into the territory of Pesaro and Urbino in the Marche and is the main waterway that goes through Montefeltro. While moving through Montefeltro, the waterway moves through the exclave Santa Sofia Marecchia, which has a place with Badia Tedalda.
The waterway at that point streams past Sant'Agata Feltria and Novafeltria before intersection into the territory of Rimini in Emilia– Romagna. At last, the waterway streams past Verucchio and Santarcangelo di Romagna before streaming into the Adriatic Sea close Rimini. While on his approach to battle the Gothic armed force, the Byzantine general Narses crossed the Marecchia on a barge after the pioneer of the Goths challenging his section of the stream was executed in a clash. Tourists come here from all over the world with their family members and friends to visit this great place.
