Mandello del Lario

Mandello del Lario is an Italian metropolis and comune inside the province of Lecco, in Lombardy, at the Como Lake. Since 1921, Mandello del Lario has been home to Moto Guzzi the Italian motorcycle producer, now a subsidiary of Piaggio & Co. Spa. The village each year on account that 2001 has hosted GMG. The Grigna massif is positioned in Mandello's communal territory. Saint George's church has a single corridor with a visible truss ceiling and a quadrangular apse with a move-vaulted ceiling. Its gift factor is due to recovery paintings which commenced within the 14th century, to a building which had already existed for the reason that 11^th century.

A holy-water font decorated with a geometrical twisting floral motif on the font and with a relief displaying a go on the sides, is preserved from the original constructing. In the nave are several votive frescoes dating back to the 15th century; the Crucifixion in the presbytery is from the give up of the 15th century; the eschatological cycle, in step with some researchers, is associated with the Ligurian-Piedmontese portray tradition, at the same time as in line with others it's far in the direction of the nearby tradition, and is placed round 1480.
