About House of the Vettii
The House of the Vettii is a domus situated in the Roman town, Pompeii, which was safeguarded by the ejection of Vesuvius in 79 AD. The house is named for its proprietors, two fruitful freedmen: Aulus Vettius Conviva, an Augustalis, and Aulus Vettius Restitutus.Its cautious excavationhas saved the majority of the divider frescos, which were finished after the tremor of 62 AD, in the way workmanship antiquarians term the Pompeiian Fourth Style.
The House of Vetti is situated in locale VI, close to the Vesuvian Gate, flanked by the Vicolo di Mercurio and the Vicolo dei Vettii.
