About Crevacuore
Crevacuore is an Italian metropolis of 1,520 inhabitants inside the province of Biella, in Piedmont. Crevacuore was a part of the domain names of the Counts of Pombia and then handed in 905 to Aimone, count of Vercelli, and to his descendants, the lords of Crevacuore and the lords of Bolgaro. The latter ceded their proportion to Gisulfo, Bishop of Vercelli, in 1141, in exchange for Masserano. Later the bishops of Vercelli bought the alternative elements of the feud, the possession of which turned into showed by means of the emperor Federico Barbarossa in 1152, and they in flip gave it to various neighborhood lords.
In 1243 the pontifical legate Gregorio di Montelongo bought it to the Municipality of Vercelli together with other territories. In 1394 Crevacuore was given in fiefdom by Pope Boniface IX to Antonio Fieschi, of the homonymous Genoese family together with Masserano, whose destiny followed. In the 17th century the nearby populace turned towards the abuses of the Ferrero Fieschi own family several instances. The maximum violent insurrection broke out on 9 August 1657 when the population besieged the citadel, garrisoned with the aid of the Prince's troops, and after a livid conflict succeeded in occupying it, destroying it to its foundations.
