About Cimitero Monumentale di Milano
This is one of the two biggest burial grounds in Milan, Italy, the other one being the Cimitero Maggiore. It is noted for the plenitude of creative tombs and monuments.Designed by the planner Carlo Maciachini 1818– 1899, it was wanted to solidify ious little graveyards that used to be scattered around the city into a solitary location.
Officially opened in 1866, it has from that point forward been loaded with an extensive iety of contemporary and traditional Italian figures and Greek sanctuaries, expand monoliths, and other unique works, for example, a downsized form of the Trajan's Column.
Huge numbers of the tombs have a place with noted industrialist traditions, and were outlined by craftsmen, for example, Adolfo Wildt, Giò Ponti, Arturo Martini, Dante Parini, Lucio Fontana, Medardo Rosso, Giacomo Manzù, Floriano Bodini, and Giò Pomodoro.
