About Cathedral of St. Michele Arcangelo

A church has possessed the site since the turn of the fourth to the fifth century, however the present structure is medieval, worked in around 1100, with a noteworthy revamping in the second 50% of the twelfth century, and another in 1582. A reclamation venture in the 1970s generally restored the working to the medieval structure.

It is a Roman Catholic church building and it is devoted to Saint Michael in the city of Albenga, Savona and the area of Liguria, Italy. It is the seat of the Diocese of Albenga-Imperia.

In the present frame of 1390s,the campanile was reconstructed .The relics of Saint Veranus , who was instrumental in the Christianisation of Albenga in the sixth century, are protected in a hallowed place.
