About Apulia
Apulia is a region in Southern Italy bordering the Adriatic Sea to the east, the Ionian Sea to the southeast, and the Strait of Otranto and Gulf of Taranto to the south. Its southernmost component, called the Salento peninsula, forms a "tacco" or heel at the boot of Italy. The location incorporates 19,345 rectangular kilometers, and its population is set four million. It is bordered with the aid of the opposite Italian areas of Molise to the north, Campania to the west, and Basilicata to the southwest.
Across the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, it faces Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, and Montenegro, The Apulia area extends as some distance north as Monte Gargano. Its capital metropolis is Bari.Puglia's coastline is longer than that of any other mainland Italian area. Outside of country wide parks inside the North and West, maximum of Apulia and in particular Salento is geographically flat with best slight hills.
