About Nesher
Nesher is a town within the Haifa District of Israel. In 2017 it had a populace of 23,749. Nesher became founded in 1924 as a workers metropolis for the Nesher Cement manufacturing facility, hooked up in September 1923 by Michael Pollack, a Jewish industrialist from Russia. The location turned into swampy and malaria-infested, however employees of the factory regularly moved there with their households, bringing the populace to 1,500. Nesher become floated as a public business enterprise in 1925. In 1929, the Arabs of Balad al-Sheikh attacked the manufacturing facility and burned down a farm.

In 1952, a nearby council became fashioned comprising four neighborhoods – Nesher, Giv’at Nesher, Ben-Dor and Tel Hanan. The first mayor turned into Yehuda Shimroni. CBS statistics for 2005 display Nesher's ethnic makeup as 99.5% Jewish and different non-Arabs. 30.7% of the population in 2005 have been immigrants who came to Israel after 1990.
