About Neot Kedumim
Neot Kedumim is a Biblical lawn and nature hold placed near Modi'in, midway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, Israel. When Ephraim and Hannah Hareuveni immigrated from Russia to British Palestine in 1912, they dreamed of developing a biblical panorama reserve that "embodied the panorama and electricity of the landscapes that each fashioned the values of the Bible and furnished a wealthy vocabulary for expressing them". Their son, Noga, a physicist, committed his life to imposing his dad and mom' dream.
To build the park, hundreds of lots of soil have been trucked in, reservoirs had been constructed to seize runoff rain water, ancient terraces, wine presses and ritual baths had been restored, and loads of forms of flora have been cultivated. In 1994 Neot Kedumim and Noga Hareuveni, the driving spirit behind the garden, have been offered the Israel Prize for his or her unique contribution to society and the State of Israe. Neot Kedumim is an try to re-create the physical placing of the Hebrew Bible. The park covers an area of approximately 2,500 dunams The concept of planting one of these garden dates lower back to 1925. In Neot Kedumim incorporates a series of natural and agricultural landscapes, amongst them the Forest of Milk and Honey, the Dale of the Song of Songs, Isaiah's Vineyard and the Fields of the Seven Species.
