Karmiel

Karmiel is a city in northern Israel. Established in 1964 as a improvement town, Karmiel is placed in the Beit HaKerem Valley which divides higher and decrease Galilee. The town is placed south of the Acre-Safed road, 32 kilometres from Safed and 20 km from Ma'alot-Tarshiha and 20 km from Acre. In 2017 Karmiel had a population of 45,919.

In 1956, approximately 1,275 acres of land within the vicinity that is now Karmiel, owned by way of citizens of the nearby Israeli Arab villages of Deir al-Asad, Bi'ina and Nahf, were d "closed areas" via Israeli government.
