About Daliyat El-Karmel
Daliyat El Karmel is a Druze city in the Haifa District of Israel, positioned around 20 km southeast of Haifa. In 2017 its populace become 17,201. Daliyat al-Karmel, located on Mount Carmel, is the united states of america’s biggest and southernmost Druze town. In 1283 each Daliyat al-Karmel and Kh. Doubel were referred to as a part of the area of the Crusaders, consistent with the hudna among the Crusaders in Acre and the Mamluk sultan Qalawun.
In 1870 a neighborhood manual confirmed French explorer Victor Guerin enormous ruins positioned south of Daliyat al-Karmel, referred to as Khirbet Doubel. The ruins have been the maximum widespread on Mt. Carmel. Guerin concept it is probably the town on Mt. Carmel referred to by Pliny. Conder and Kitchener surveyed the area and mentioned "traces of ruins" at a place SE of the village centre known as Dubil. Later excavations have located remains there from Iron Age I, Early Roman and Byzantine periods, together with pottery from first century to the second–1/3 centuries CE.
