Ashkelon Coal Jetty Breakwater Light is a lighthouse inAshqelon, Israel. It is located at the end of the main breakwater of the Ashkelon Port Coal Jetty, within the Ashkelon Oil Port operated by using the Eilat Ashkelon Pipeline Company, near the Trans-Israel pipeline. The Eilat Ashkelon Pipeline Company operates several petroleum and petroleum products pipelines in Israel, maximum appreciably the Eilat Ashkelon Pipeline. It also operates oil terminal and depots inside the United States of America.
The company was in the beginning formed in 1968 as a 50/50 percentage joint undertaking among Israel and Iran to move crude oil from Iran to Europe. After the Iranian Revolution 1979, Israel nationalized the employer. In 2015 a Swiss court ordered Israel to pay Iran $1.1 billion compensation, which they refused to pay. Trans-Israel pipeline, also Tipline or Eilat-Ashkelon Pipeline is an oil pipeline in Israel that transported crude oil originating from Iran interior Israel and to Europe. The site is closed to the general public.
